Ginseng vs Caffeine & the difference between anabolic & catabolic.

 

Ginseng is an anabolic supplement in which it process includes breaking down larger molecules into smaller molecules (such as natural sugars) that can easily be used by cells to produce energy.

 

Whereas Caffeine is catabolic. It builds energy in a destructive & faster pace by breaking down nutrients that are already stored in the body to create energy.

 

Ginseng is linked to improved concentration, memory & may help you better recover from exercise. While caffeine in coffee is an addictive stimulant that temporarily increases alertness & delays fatigue. Hence its adverse health effects which include: nausea, diarrhea, nervousness, increased heart rate, irritability, dizziness & it spikes blood pressure.

 

Studies have shown significant improvement with the body’s ability to cope with hunger, fatigue & helps the body adapt to extreme temperatures. It’s dried roots can be chewed as an energy boost.

For men: it helps maintain vitality & virility

For women: it helps aids hot flashes & lowered mood due to menopause

Athletes: used a a stimulant [it is a tonic herb to help alleviate physical stress].

Keep in mind, there are various types of ginseng & ALL have different benefits.

Moreover, not ALL ginseng are considered TRUE  ginseng.

American ginseng, Siberian ginseng, Peruvian ginseng & Ashwaganda (withania somnifera) or Indian ginseng are NOT “true” ginseng. They come from different roots & don’t contain the active ingredient of ginsenosides.
